February 2026 marked a truly phenomenal milestone for our charity: the restoration of safe, reliable water access to more than one million people across Kenya through our pump repair programmes.

This achievement has been delivered through the repair and rehabilitation of handpumps in rural communities across southern Kenya, alongside the restoration of electric water pumps serving schools and health clinics. Each repaired pump represents not just infrastructure restored, but improved health, dignity, education, and opportunity for the communities that rely on it.

At the heart of this success is the exceptional commitment of our team of nine highly skilled volunteer engineers, who work tirelessly across eight counties in Kenya. Their efforts are overseen by our UK Trustee, Eric McKinnon, whose leadership and technical oversight have been instrumental in scaling and sustaining this work.

This milestone would not have been possible without the long-term support of our donors. In particular, we are deeply grateful to Eagle Foundation, who have supported our water programmes since 2018, alongside a number of other generous funders who share our commitment to lasting, practical impact.

Restoring water to one million people is more than a number - it represents millions of hours saved, countless illnesses prevented, and stronger, more resilient communities. A Landmark Moment for TWK

January 2026 marked a proud and historic milestone with the official opening of the TWK Educational Campus. The new campus brings together a Primary School, Junior School, Community Learning Centre, and on-site teacher housing, all designed to provide fully funded education for some of the most underprivileged children in the local area while supporting the recruitment and retention of high-quality teachers.

The opening was a joyful celebration shared by parents, education partners, community and government leaders, the charity’s founders, and members of both our UK and Kenya teams. It was a powerful moment of collective achievement - made even more special by seeing the children take centre stage, performing, learning, and confidently shining on a day created especially for them.

Delivering an entire educational campus - including classrooms, community facilities, and teacher accommodation—in just nine months is an extraordinary achievement. It reflects the dedication, collaboration, and shared belief of everyone involved.

This campus is more than a collection of buildings - it is a long-term investment in quality education, stability, and opportunity. By creating a supportive environment for both students and teachers, the TWK Educational Campus lays strong foundations for brighter futures for children, families, and the wider community.
